Adel M. Abuktaif

Professional Background

Adel M. Abuktaif is a faculty member in the Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science, where he works as a lecturer and researcher. He is also the academic supervisor for a group of students and oversees several graduation projects. He has numerous scientific publications in his field.

Careers

Prior to joining the University of Tripoli, Dr. Abuktaif worked at the Oil Research Center and as a consultant in the office of the former Secretary of the General People's Committee for Energy for ten years. In these roles, he was responsible for research, supervision, and coordination of technical and research work. This work focused on the evaluation of sedimentary basins, fields, and other areas of interest for oil and gas exploration. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science.

Research Interests

Dr. Abuktaif's key research areas include oil and gas exploration and related techniques for exploring and modeling hydrocarbon reservoirs. His work involves studying subsurface layers and analyzing the reservoir and petrophysical properties of oil reservoirs.

Taught and conducted research at the University of Colorado Boulder in the USA.
