Roles

• Isa Mohammed Abuwoden is a faculty member in the Geophysics Department at the Faculty of Science. Since 2021, Mr. Abuwoden has held the position of Assistant Lecturer at Tripoli University. Throughout his professional journey, he has been bestowed with the following duties and obligations:

  ·        2023: Quality Coordinator and Performance Assessment at the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya.

  ·        2022-2023: Supervising the department's page and website on the Tripoli University website. 2023:

  ·        2023: Member of the Committee for the Update of Student Procedures at the Faculty of Science, according to the decision of the Dean, Professor Dr., numbered (25) for the year 2023.

  ·        2021-2022: Studies and Examinations Coordinator at the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya.

• 2021-2014: Teaching Assistant at the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya.
• 2013-2014: Junior Geophysicist at Akakus Oil Operations Company, in the Management and Planning Department, Airport Road, Tripoli.

Research Interests

The main focus of research is geophysical gravity and magnetic exploration, as they provide a deeper understanding of the composition of the Earth's crust and the variations in density, magnetic field, and geological structure of different regions. These variations can be used to study and understand the structure of the Earth's crust and lithosphere, analyze basins and study their evolution over time, as well as search for natural resources such as oil, gas, and minerals.

External Activities

• 2022 - Member of the committee responsible for preparing the study guide for the science colleges in Libyan public universities, as well as internal regulations, and student curricula, which were formed under the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, number (#), in the year 2022.
