Prof.Dr. Ramadan Eljadi is a faculty member in the Department of Geophysics at the Faculty of Sciences. He has been working at the University of Tripoli since 1995 and was promoted to professor in 2006. He has many scientific publications in his field of specialization. Since 2021, he has been serving as dean of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Tripoli, chairman of the Supreme Committee for Colleges of Sciences in Libyan universities, member of the executive committee of the Council of Deans of Colleges of Sciences in Arab universities based in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and representative of colleges of sciences in universities in the Maghreb countries.

  • Development: seeks to develop the college administratively, academically, and research-wise, and coordinate and develop the college's relations within and outside the university.
  • Support: supervises the provision of all the college's educational, research, administrative, and financial requirements, and evaluates the performance of the college's vice dean, department heads, directors, and heads of offices under his supervision.
  • Preservation: preserves the college's fixed and movable property, coordinates the work of the college council, and implements its recommendations.
  • Development: works to develop and enhance the college's own financial resources.
  • Financial planning: supervises the planning and preparation of the college's budget to be included in the university's budget.
  • Formation of committees: forms the committees necessary to perform the college's work.
  • Reports: prepares a comprehensive periodic report on the progress of studies, academic, administrative, and research performance in the college and refers it to the university president.
  • Violations: reports to the university president what he receives from department heads or what they observe about any breach of duty by a faculty member or employee, or any other violations.
  • Disciplinary matters: reports disciplinary matters regarding students in the college in accordance with the regulations and rules.
  • Other tasks: performs tasks delegated by the faculty council, represents the college within and outside the university, and implements tasks assigned by the university council or its president.

His duties related to the college's academic affairs include:

  • Course of study: The dean's deputy for academic affairs supervises the course of study, its implementation, and the development of its academic programs.
  • Quality, evaluation, and academic accreditation: The dean supervises the systems and regulations of quality, evaluation, and academic accreditation.
  • Student activities: The dean's deputy supervises the various student activities at the college.
  • Examinations: The dean's deputy monitors the performance of examinations and enforces discipline and order within the college.
  • Research: The dean's deputy encourages research in the various specializations of the college.
  • Academic links: The dean works to establish academic links with educational institutions in Libya and abroad.
  • Recruitment of faculty members: The dean's deputy supervises the recruitment of faculty members at the college.
  • Implementation of academic plans and programs: The dean's deputy supervises the implementation of academic plans and programs at the college.

In the past and until now (partially), his duties included:

  • He taught many scientific and laboratory courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculty of Sciences in the Departments of Geophysics and Geology, and the Faculty of Engineering in the Departments of Petroleum Engineering, Geological Engineering, and Mining Engineering.
