Fatima Muhammad Al-Aswad is a faculty member in the Department of Geophysics at the College of Science. Mrs. Fatima Al-Aswad works at the University of Tripoli as an assistant lecturer, and during her professional career she performed the following tasks: 2014-2015: Assisting faculty members in some courses. 2022-2023: Proctoring applied and medical examinations.

Now: Assistant Lecturer, Department of Geophysics, College of Science, University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya. 2014-2023: Teaching Assistant, Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya. 2023 AD: Mrs. Fatima obtained a master’s degree in geophysics. 2024 AD: Permanent faculty member in the Department of Geophysics, College of Science - Department of Geophysics.

Research Interests

The most important research fields in which Mrs. Fatima works are seismic exploration and seismic interpretation in two and three dimensions, where recorded seismic data are collected and analyzed to understand the characteristics. They are considered powerful tools in the fields of earth sciences, exploration and natural extraction, as they contribute to understanding the composition of the Earth and determining Natural resources and seismic hazard assessment.

External Activities

There are currently no activities outside the University of Tripoli. I collaborated in my master's thesis with Akakus Oil Services Company.
