Mr. Mohamed Tariq Almog is a faculty member in the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Science. Mr. Mohamed Tariq Almog has worked as an assistant lecturer at the University of Tripoli since 2024. He has taught many courses such as:

• Nuclear Geophysics

• Environmental Geophysics

Careers

After earning a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Geophysics at the University of Tripoli, he worked 10 years at Waha Oil Company, a subsidiary of the National Oil Corporation. During that time, he completed a postgraduate MSc at the same university. Where the research was titled:

Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) in Produced Water and Oil-Field Equipment of Gialo Field (NC-59)

He is now a full-time faculty member with the rank of assistant lecturer in the Department of Geophysics.

Research Interests

One of the most important research areas in which Mr Mohamed Almog works is Nuclear Geophysics, which considers geological studies to understand the composition of the earth, rocks Dating and exploring uranium as economic value.

Also, Mr. Mohamed Almog engaged in Radiometric surveys and measurements of natural radioactive elements in the oil and gas sector.
