Careers
Before joining the University of Tripoli, Bashir M. Ghanim has worked as a researcher at Alqalla Centre for Engineering Industries for ten years. He got his Master degree in Chemistry and he then joined the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Al-Zahraa. He obtained a PhD in Chemistry from University of Limerick, Ireland. He held several positions at the institute, including Head of the Medical Laboratories Department, Director of the Studies and Examinations Office, and Director of the Scientific Affairs Office.
Research Interests
Thermal treatment of organic materials (Biomass) for the purpose of producing materials that can be used as fuel (Hydrochar, Biochar, Bio-oil, Syngas), as adsorbents for use in adsorption processes. He has many publications in this field
External Activities
He has involved in several European Union research projects conducted at the University of Limerick, Republic of Ireland.
He is currently conducting several studies in collaboration with a research team at the University of Limerick, Republic of Ireland.-
