A Journey of Dedication: Department of Physics Honors Mr. Al-Sharif Mohammed Omran on His Retirement

As part of its commitment to recognizing the valuable contributions of its faculty members, technicians, and administrative staff, the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli, organized a retirement ceremony on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the Plasma Building to honor Mr. Al-Sharif Mohammed Omran, who retired after more than three decades of dedicated service as a technician in the Nuclear Physics Laboratory.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Abdullah Al-Kalsh, Head of the Department of Physics; Prof. Mohammed Abdulaziz, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science; Eng. Faeq Al-Sadiq, Director of the Faculty's Administrative and Financial Affairs Office; together with a distinguished gathering of faculty members, technicians, and administrative staff from the department.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Al-Kalsh welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation for their participation in celebrating one of the department's most dedicated colleagues. He praised Mr. Omran's professionalism, commitment, integrity, and exemplary character, reflecting on his remarkable career and the lasting impact he made through his devoted service and positive relationships with colleagues.

The ceremony continued with heartfelt tributes from faculty members, technicians, and staff, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Omran's years of faithful service. Eng. Faeq Al-Sadiq also delivered a speech recognizing his valuable contributions and dedication throughout his career.

In an emotional address, Mr. Al-Sharif Mohammed Omran thanked the Department of Physics and his colleagues for their support, respect, and friendship over the years, expressing his pride in having served the Faculty of Science throughout his professional career.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Omran by Prof. Al-Sadiq Al-Qadi, together with Prof. Abdullah Al-Kalsh, Prof. Mohammed Abdulaziz, and Eng. Faeq Al-Sadiq, in recognition of his outstanding service and lasting contributions to the Department of Physics. The event ended with warm congratulations and farewell wishes from all attendees, celebrating a distinguished career marked by dedication, professionalism, and sincere commitment.
