Mrs. Elham Ashur Younes is a faculty member in the Physics Department, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli. Mrs. Elham Ashur has been working at the University of Tripoli since 2000, and as a lecturer in Physics since 2015. She shares with her fellow faculty members many scientific publications in their field of specialization. She is also an active participant in two committees in the Physics Department: "Environment and Society" and "Curricula and Medical Physics".

Careers

Mrs. Elham Younes acquired a bachelor’s degree in Physics from The University of Tripoli in (1998). Afterward, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Science - Department of Physics - University of Tripoli (2000 - 2006). Her duties include assisting subject lecturers and supervising laboratories.

In (2009) she acquired a master’s degree from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Later, she worked as an assistant lecturer - Department of Physics - Faculty of Science - University of Tripoli. (2011 - 2015), and her duties were a coordinator of Physics 1 at the College of Engineering. (2012 - 2013); and a member of the Office of Study and Examinations in the Department of Physics (2011 - 2013).

In 2015, she promoted to a lecturer in the Department of Physics - Faculty of Science - University of Tripoli. (2015 - 2023), her duties include: Lecturer for General Physics, Magnetic Physics, and Intermediate Mechanics at the College of Science; General Physics and Electrical Laboratory at the College of Engineering; And electrical physics at the College of Agriculture. Furthermore, she was a member of the Office of Study and Examinations in the Department of Physics (2020-2021); and a member of the Self-Study Committee of the Physics Department (2023).

Research Interests

Nuclear Physics.She has a research (2023) awaiting approval by the publisher: "Comparison of calculated energy levels and electrical transition probability of the even-even 144-150Nd isotopes using IBM-2, NEF and BM"
