Abdul Hamid Ali Al Sagheer is a faculty member in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science. Mr. Abdul Hamid Ali Al Sagheer has been working at the University of Tripoli as a professor since 01-08-2020, and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization. He performs many teaching, research and administrative tasks, and has many activities in community service.

Careers

Dr. Abdul Hamid Ali Al Sagheer began his career as an assistant lecturer in 1995 in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science. He was then sent to study for a PhD in the United Kingdom in 2000 and returned to work in the Department of Physics in 2007. He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor in 2010. Dr. Abdul Hamid Al Sagheer was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014. Then to Professor in 2020. Dr. Abdul Hamid Al Sagheer served as Head of the Department of Physics from 2014 to 2018. He served as Director of the Faculty Members Office at the Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli from 2015 to 2021. He also worked as Coordinator of the Curriculum Committee in the Department of Physics from 2011 to 2013.

Physics of electronic materials and multiparticle physical systems

Corrosion, protection methods and electrochemical systems

Renewable energies including hydrogen systems, fuel cells and organic solar cells

Metamaterials, plasmonic materials and photonic crystals

Lasers, photonics, plasmas and nonlinear optics

Quantum techniques including quantum mechanics, quantum computers and quantum sensors

Numerical methods, modeling and simulation in photonics and multiparticle systems
