He has a strong research background with numerous publications in his area of expertise. His research interests include semiconductor devices, with a particular focus on the MOS system, as well as computational modeling of physical and mathematical problems using programming languages such as Fortran, C, and MATLAB. Additionally, he has held the role of Postgraduate Studies Coordinator in the department for several years.
Careers
I have been graduated from the Faculty of Science, Physics Department, in the summer of 1979 with a very good grade in the final year and a good overall grade. I worked in secondary education for the years 1980-1981 and in educational guidance until 1985. I was assigned to the industry sector in Yafran municipality until 1988. I joined the university as a teaching assistant in the Physics Department in 1988, and the reason for not joining since graduation was the Revolutionary Committee at the Faculty of Science and the Office of Contact with Revolutionary Committees. I joined postgraduate studies in the department and obtained a master's degree in 1992. I was sent for Ph.D., which I obtained in 1999. I am still in the department as an associate professor. I have participated in teaching and supervising many master's theses, numerous scientific conferences, and reviewing and authoring many research papers and books. I held membership in the Postgraduate Studies Committee in the department for several periods and served as a coordinator for this committee for several years.
Research Interests
My research focuses on condensed matter physics, and I am an active member of the research group in this field. My research interests include microelectronics and nanoelectronics, as well as computational modeling of physical problems. Additionally, I engage in reviewing and authoring books on electric circuits, digital electronics, and analog electronics.
External Activities
I have served as an external examiner or primary supervisor for multiple master's theses and have taught advanced courses such as computational physics and mechanics at the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, as well as at the Universities of Zawia and Gharyan. I have also reviewed papers for academic promotions at these institutions and am a member of various scientific committees in research centers.
