Prof. abdulbaset abuazza is a staff members at the department of Physics faculty of Science. He is working as a since 2014-03-01 in the field of Laser and Spectroscopy and he teaches several subjects and has several publications in the field of his interest. He has many administration experiences and participated on many scientific committees such as unify curriculum and Isso committees.

Careers

Before joining the university, Dr. Abdel Basit worked as a physics teacher in secondary education for eleven years. The following narrative illustrates his professional and academic progression:1992-1994: Higher Institute of Electro-Optics Research, Tripoli. Worked as an assistant to engineers in the field of lasers.1996-1998: Part-time work at Tripoli University for Medical Sciences, Libya, teaching general medical physics theory and practice.1994-1998: Worked at Tripoli University, Faculty of Education, Physics Department as an assistant lecturer responsible for teaching various physics courses for the first academic year, overseeing students, coordinating studies and examinations in the department, and serving as a member of the examination committee.1997-1998: Head of the Physics Department at the Faculty of Education.2002-2004: Coordinator of the Physics Curriculum Committee at the Faculty of Science, Tripoli University.2004-2006: Coordinator of studies and examinations for the Physics Department at the Faculty of Science.2005: Member of the preparatory committee for the scientific event for the International Year of Physics.2007: Coordinator of the Physics Curriculum at the Scientific Seminar on College of Science Curricula, organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with experts from British universities.2006-2008: Head of the Physics Department at the Faculty of Science.2007-2008: Member of the Physics Curriculum Committee at the Faculty of Education.2006-2010: Editorial Board member for a science journal.2007-2010: Member of the Standards Specification Accreditation Committee, National Center for Standards and Metrology.2009-2012: Head of Studies and Examinations at the Faculty of Science.2011-2016: Member of the Market Experts Council for Education Team, participating in various conferences, workshops, and scientific proposals presented by the council.2016-2019: Dean of the Faculty of Education, Tripoli University.

Research Interests

Dr. Eid Al Basit is interested in the field of optics, lasers, and spectroscopy, and has made several research contributions with his colleagues and supervised master's theses.In 2010, he supervised a master's thesis entitled "Design and Construction of a Laser Scanning System for Use in Physical Applications."In 2015, he supervised a master's thesis in the field of non-linear optical physics.

External Activities

Outside of the university, Dr. Eid Al Basit serves as a member of the Education Experts Council at the Friday Market Council. In addition to this role, he also holds the position of President of the General Assembly of the Libyan Association for Educational Sciences.
