Careers

Work Experience:

 

General Practitioner (GP) for 8 years (Primary Health Care -Tripoli/Libya).

 

Trainee Physician (Natural Medicine) for 3 years; Department of Physiotherapy - TMC.

 

Doctor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for a period of 18 months (within the Council of Libyan Specialties) - Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology - TMC).

 

As well as a physiotherapist in cooperation with the medical staff in the physiotherapy department at Ali Omar Askar Hospital for Neurology and Spine in Sebaia, Tripoli - Libya.

Research Interests

Academic and Clinical Researcher for 2 years in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics - Glasgow Western Hospital / within the Glasgow Referral Scheme - Active Lifestyle Programme - Predictive Value of Exercise Testing, from 2006-2008, included application of exercise testing (physiological measurements and clinical applications) in the Department of Medicine and Clinical Laboratory Sports Physiology.

 

Currently, as a faculty member at the University of Tripoli / Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - Department of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy 2010-2016, I have taught several courses, including: 1. Rehabilitation and physical therapy of the musculoskeletal system. 2- Rehabilitation and physical therapy for the nervous system. 3. Rehabilitation and physical therapy for children. 4. Pathology. 5. Pharmacology. 6. Rehabilitation and physiotherapy for obstetrics and gynecology. 7. Doping in sports. 8. Rehabilitation and physical therapy for medical conditions. 10. Biochemistry.

 

With the supervision of a number of research and graduation projects for undergraduate students, as well as making observations and correcting research plans and graduation projects for a number of master's students at the college. Lecturer in a physiotherapy course at Zawia Street Hospital in Tripoli - July 2010. 

Participant in the first conference of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in the same Al-Imad, Tripoli, October 2014.

External Activities

 

Trainee at the Libyan Board of Medical Specialties in Obstetrics and Gynecology (May 1999 - October 2000) at Tripoli Medical Center (TMC). o Higher Diploma in Physical Medicine (October 1999 - June 2003) in the Department of Physical Therapy - Tripoli Medical Center (TMC). o New CLAIT Course in Computer (January 2005 - March 2005) (Manchester, United Kingdom. o Advanced English course (April-July 2005) at Avalon College Manchester. o Full time Pre-sessional Academic English and Intensive Study Skills equivalent to IELTS 6.5 course at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow 21 August to 14 September 2006. ELTD. Hey. Course in First Aid and Anaphylaxis Awareness at Rosemount Glasgow Center (June to August 2007). o In November 2009, obtaining a master's degree in medicine, sports science and exercise from three universities: (University of Strathclyde - Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian University, and the University of Glasgow). o Participant and producer of a number of health awareness programs on audio-visual radio channels to serve the community in Libya https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeeMemY_dWk
