Roles

 Mahmud Mzewed works full-time as a lecturer at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Department of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, University of Tripoli. He has studied and teaches several subjects in his specialty (anatomy, athletes’ injuries.....), and has many publications in his field of interest. He also works in the field of prevention and physical therapy of injuries and diseases. He has regular publications in international scientific journals and conferences inside and outside Libya. Mahmud has worked and works in many clubs, clinics and hospitals, as a medical attendant, physical therapist and sports therapist in Libya and Germany. He has held many courses in athletes’ injuries, physical therapy and prevention since 1998.

                                                                                                     

Careers

1996 was the year of obtaining the academic qualification for the high degree “Master’s” (the subject of the study is the effect of exercise on patients with diabetes) and was granted the academic degree “Assistant Lecturer” at that time. In the year 2001, he obtained the degree of “Lecturer” and was sent to study the precise degree “PhD.” Which she obtained in 2014 from the Institute for Movement Therapy & movement-oriented prevention & rehabilitation & institute for biomechanics & Orthopedics at the high German Sports University Cologne, Germany.    

Research Interests

For several years, Mahmud has worked to publish research in Libya and abroad in the following fields: prevention and therapy of athletes’ injuries and diseases and sports for the disabled, as well as academic supervision in several diverse fields of bachelor’s degrees.
