Roles
Since my appointment at the university, I have participated as a member of several specialized committees that contributed to implementing key tasks aimed at developing the university academically and administratively. These responsibilities included contributing to the preparation of training programs for teaching assistants and coordinating their involvement in language courses offered by the university’s Language Center to enhance their linguistic competencies. I also participated in committees responsible for designing training programs for university staff at both local and international levels to improve institutional performance. Additionally, I contributed to preparing the university’s budgets related to the first and second chapters, discussing them with the Ministry of Finance to ensure the provision of necessary resources for academic and administrative operations. Furthermore, I participated in preparing and reviewing the graduate studies budget in coordination with the Ministry of Planning. Moreover, I took part in numerous programs and workshops aimed at enhancing the university’s performance and raising its efficiency in various fields.
Careers
I began my academic career as a Teaching Assistant at the college and was subsequently promoted to a faculty member. Within the college, I held several positions, including Assistant Secretary for Scientific Affairs, Editor-in-Chief of the college’s scientific journal, and Director of the Graduate Studies Office. Later, I was appointed Director of the Graduate Studies Department at the university and subsequently entrusted with the role of University Secretary General.
At the ministerial level, I served as Director of the Graduate Studies Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, followed by my appointment as Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education.
Additionally, I was appointed as an Academic Attaché at the Libyan Embassy in the Kingdom of Morocco, where I oversaw the affairs of Libyan students abroad and coordinated between Libyan and Moroccan educational institutions.
Research Interests
Within the scope of professional activities beyond the university, I have participated in numerous initiatives and programs aimed at serving the community and developing national sectors. I contributed to various programs organized by the Libyan Olympic Committee and sports federations, which focus on developing sports in Libya through providing technical support and participating in organizational and training aspects.
Furthermore, I was selected to represent the University of Tripoli as a delegate to the Training Committee of the Association of Arab Universities, a role that enhanced the university’s presence at the Arab level and facilitated the exchange of expertise in human resource development and academic competency enhancement.
External Activities
My research interests focus on advancing knowledge within my academic specialization by supervising numerous master’s theses and participating in the discussion of many graduate research projects. I have also contributed to publishing peer-reviewed scientific research in specialized journals, addressing contemporary research issues related to my field. These efforts aim to support scientific production and strengthen the position of academic research as a fundamental pillar of higher education.
