Dr. Masoud Hamid Bisher is a faculty member in the department of Sharia, Faculty of Sharia Sciences – Souq Al-Juma. He works as a lecturer and researcher in the Departments of Fundamentals of Religion and Sharia at the College. Through his work in the college as Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs and his work in the department as a lecturer, Mr. Masoud Hamid Bisher supervises graduation projects for students. He also serves on many committees at the university level.

Careers

Before joining the University of Tripoli, Dr. Masoud Hamed Beshr worked as a teacher and then as a principal in a secondary school for a period of time, after obtaining a BA in Arabic from the University of Tripoli in 1986, and he may obtain a BA in Sharia in the year 2000 from the University of Asmaria, then he obtained a master’s degree in Sharia in 2009 from Al-Marqab University in jurisprudence and its principles and worked there as a lecturer until he obtained his first doctorate from Beirut Islamic University in jurisprudence and its principles in 2014, then he obtained his second doctorate in 2019 from the University of Minia, Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom in jurisprudence and its principles.

Dr. Masoud Bishr joined the Faculty of Sharia Sharia Sciences – Souq Al-Juma at the University of Tripoli in 2019, where he assumed the position of Vice Dean for Academic Affairs. He contributed with the leadership of the college in creating new departments in the college and updating the educational curricula there. He is now working as a lecturer with the degree of Associate Professor in the Sharia Department.

Research Interests

One of the most important areas of research in which Dr. Masoud Hamid Bishr works is the Islamic law sciences, especially in jurisprudence and its principles. He also worked previously on several researche in the field of jurisprudence. Currently, Dr. Masoud is working on developing the organizational structure of the Faculty of Sharia Sciences - Souq Al-Juma. Dr. Masoud has published many research papers in prestigious international journals, the latest of which was his publication of a research paper on "The Ruling of Imitation and Follow-up: An Inductive and Analytical Study". He also contributes to passing on his experience to students.

External Activities

In addition to his work as a researcher and lecturer at the university, Dr. Masoud Hamid Beshr has contributed to many awareness activities by giving lectures and religious lessons in mosques and through the means of communication and delivering speeches and sermons. He was also chosen as the head of the committee for evaluating the research presented at the Atheism Conference held in 2022. He was also a member of many committees and conferences and reviewed many research papers that were published.
