Roles
Aiman Oheida is one of the staff members at Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tripoli since 2012. He is currently working as a Professor, where he teaches general and comparative anatomy. During this period, Mr. Oheida was entrusted with many tasks, including the presidency of the department for two times (2013-2017 and 2020-2022). He also had a role in many committees that were assigned to him inside and outside the college, especially with regard to developing curricula and the study system within the department and at the faculty level.
Careers
Prof. Aiman Oheida is currently a specialist in Veterinary Anatomy at the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He was accepted as a demonstrator in the department in 2001. He got a scholarship from the government and dispatched to Australia in 2003 for achieving high degrees in Veterinary Anatomy. Aiman has obtained his Masters in 2006 and Doctorate in 2011 from The faculty of Veterinary Medicine - The University of Melbourne then to start his academic work as a lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tripoli in 2012. Through his scientific researches in the field of specialization, he was promoted to the degree of Assistant Professor in 2015, then to the degree of Associate Professor in 2019 and then to his current degree in 2023.
Research Interests
Prof. Aiman Oheida has published many scientific articles which were published in several local and international journals. His publications focused particularly on General and Comparative Anatomy. Mr Oheida is mainly concerning through his researches on the importance of understanding the relationship between the morphology of different tissues and organs and some diseases especially in horses.
External Activities
Prof. Aiman Oheida is participating with a number of specialists and scientific groups from outside the university, such as Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics Group at University of Melbourne - Australia, in studying the effect of the forelimb bone morphology on its functional and healthy locomotion in racing horses. The doctor also contributes in correction and reviewing many scientific researches.
