Amer Elgerwi is one of the staff members at the department of pharmacolgy, toxicology and forensic medicine, faculty of veterinary medicine. He is working as professor since 2016-11-27. He teaches several subjects in his major is toxicology and he has a several puplications in the field of his interest,He is the coordinator of studies and examinations in the Department of Drugs, Toxicology, and Forensic Medicine, as well as the curriculum coordinator in the Department of Drugs, Toxicology, and Forensic Medicine.

Careers

Dr. Amer is a faculty member at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with the rank of professor, he obtained his master’s degree in 1993 and from that date he engaged in teaching and research process in the faculty and after that he obtained his Ph. doctor degree in 2000. He was the head of the Department of pharmacology, Toxicology and Forensic Medicine for eight years and currently he holds several administrative positions in the department and the faculty, in addition he is supervising postgraduate studies at the university.

Research Interests

Dr. Amer is interested in scientific research related to plant, mineral, and biological toxins, and he has a long history in publishing scientific research in international, local, and Arab fields, the number of which is approximately thirty papers, in addition to his activities he attended several internal and external conferences and several round table and discussion panels.

External Activities

The doctor is considered one of the pillars of the faculty, along with an accredited advisor at the level of Libya, in addition to his close cooperation with the faculty of Pharmacy and pharmacists local and abroad, in addition he  build a scientific network with colleagues in several country as Egypt as well as Slovakia, and this is due prestudy at this countries.
