Khaled Mohamed Ben Naser is a faculty member in the Department of Animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture. Mr. Ben Naser has been working at the University of Tripoli as an associate professor since 2017 and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization. He worked in the Postgraduate Affairs in the department, college and university from 2009 to 2021. During this period, he held several positions, including Coordinator of Graduate Studies in the Department of Animal Production, Director of the Graduate Studies and Training Office at the Faculty of Agriculture, and Director of the Graduate Studies and Training Administration at the University of Tripoli. He also held the duties of Director of the Faculty Affairs Office at the Faculty of Agriculture for more than a year and a half (2019-2021). He chaired and participated in many technical and policy committees at the department, college and university levels, including the Committee for Preparing the Technical and Formal Specifications Guide for Scientific Theses and the Administrative Guide for Graduate Studies, Teaching Assistants at the University of Tripoli, and the Faculty Affairs Guide Committee at the Faculty of Agriculture. He participates in many scientific committees in the department and the college, such as the Poultry Research Station Committee and the College Scientific Committee.
Careers
Ben Naser worked as an agricultural engineer in the Wadi Al-Arel project in the Al-Shate area in southern Libya in 1989. He moved to work as a teaching assistant in the Animal Production Department at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Tripoli during the period from 1992 to 1997. He worked as an assistant lecturer in the Animal Production Department in Libya until 2001, and as a lecturer in the Animal Production Department until 2013, then as an assistant professor until 2017, and since 2017 he has been working as an associate professor. He worked as a coordinator of postgraduate studies and training in the Animal Production Department at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Tripoli, Director of the Research Stations of the Faculty of Agriculture, Vice President of the Scientific Committee of the Research Stations of the Faculty of Agriculture, Director of the Office of Postgraduate Studies and Training at the Faculty of Agriculture, Chairman of the Committee of Postgraduate Studies Programs at the University of Tripoli, Director of the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Training at the University - University of Tripoli, Director of the Office of staff member Affairs at the Faculty of Agriculture.
Research Interests
He is currently participating in studies and research related to natural alternatives to antibiotics such as organic acids, spices and medicinal plants, as well as the use of medicinal plants to mitigate the effects of heat stress on the performance, immunity and behaviour of poultry. He participates in publishing research locally and internationally, and has many publications that he co-published with many colleagues in the department, college and university. He also works to help and guide students in preparing research proposals, designing graduation and master's experiments, and completing statistical analysis processes.
External Activities
He participates in evaluating many research papers in the Libyan Journal of Agricultural Sciences, the Journal of Research and Applied Sciences at the University of Sabha, and the Journal of the University of Bani Walid for Humanities and Applied Sciences. He participates in evaluating the promotion research for professors at Libyan universities, participating in evaluating research papers for the Libya Award for Scientific Excellence at the University of Gharyan and the University of Sabha Award for Scientific Excellence, and membership in the Scientific Committee of the First Palm Conference in Houn in 2023.
