Roles
Dr. Salha is a faculty member in the Horticulture Department at the College of Agriculture, Tripoli. Since 2008, she has served as a lecturer, with a focus on teaching and scientific research in the field of vegetable crops. Her instructional responsibilities include courses on Vegetable Crop Production, Vegetable Varieties, and Fundamentals of Horticulture. Dr. Salha has an extensive record of scientific publications in collaboration with her department colleagues. In addition to her teaching duties, she supervises undergraduate students and research projects. Her administrative roles include serving as the coordinator for the Fundamentals of Horticulture course, overseeing study and examination processes, and participating as a member of the College Research Station Committee. She also held the position of department head in 2017.
Careers
She was appointed to the Horticulture Department as an Agricultural Engineer from 1981 to 2008. Subsequently, she served as an Assistant Lecturer from 2008 to 2012, and has held the position of Lecturer since 2012.
Research Interests
Her research focus is on horticultural science, particularly in vegetable crop production and varieties. She has contributed to the field through the publication of several research articles in collaboration with her colleagues.
External Activities
Dr. Salha has actively contributed to the field through the publication of several research papers and participation in both local and international conferences and seminars. She has engaged in training sessions and workshops in collaboration with the Rural Development Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Wealth. Furthermore, she delivered a lecture during the World Health Day events organized by the College of Technology, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health. Dr. Salha also attended a conference in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, and has completed numerous training programs, earning certifications in various areas including psychological and social support for war-affected populations, project management for civil society organizations, and personal strategic planning.
