Roles
After more than 25 years at the University of Tripoli in teaching and administrative roles, Dr. Marwan Keshlaf was working full-time as an Associate Professor of Entomology at the Department of Plant Protection. Dr. Marwan's primary duties are now as a lecturer, master's supervisor and researcher. He regularly publishes in international peer-reviewed journals and works with a variety of research teams as a leader or collaborator. As a master's supervisor, Dr. Marwan has completed the supervision of two students. Dr. Marwan's teaching largely focuses on honeybees, and he has developed undergraduate and postgraduate programs and modules in this area. He currently gives ad hoc lectures at the request of his colleagues on his specialized research topics.
Careers
After receiving his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Marwan joined Tripoli University, where he worked as an assistant in the Department of Plant Protection and supervised the college's apiary. Dr. Marwan became a faculty member after obtaining his master's degree in agricultural sciences. Although he supervised the apiary, Dr. Marwan's responsibilities were mainly focused on teaching. After receiving his PhD, he continued to teach and supervise undergraduate and master's students.
Research Interests
Doctor Keshlaf was classified as research active, and he has published in a range of peer reviewed, internationally recognised, journals. These include the Journal of Apiculutral Research, Open Vet Journal, International Journal of Science and Research, International Journal of Agricultural, Biosystems Science and Engineering, Mellifera. His research and writing focus primarily on honeybees. He currently has a number of projects under way or at the planning stage that pursue this broad field of enquiry.
