Dr. Eman Ali Ferjani is an associate professor at the department of soil and water sciences, faculty of Agriculture, university of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya. She received the MSc. (Agricultural science) in 1997 from University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya. Dr. Ferjani completed her Ph.D. (in Microbiology) from science and biotechnology, school of microbiology, UKM University, Kuala Lumpor, Malaysia in 2011. Her career as researcher in environmental microbiology since 1990. She received intensive training from The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Area (ICARDA) in the field of Biofertilizer and Biological Nitrogen Fixation in 1989/1990. Dr. Ferjani held the position of head of the general department of the faculty of Agriculture University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya from 2013 to 2018. Her major research and teaching activity focused mainly on soil microbiology, biotechnology and soil, water and plant analysis in addition to soil fertility. Her current research centers on environmental pollution mainly on the biodegradation of waste oil, plastics and heavy metals in soil. She teaches courses of Microbiology, soil microbiology, and soil, water and plant analysis, and has supervised the graduation of master and bachelor degree students. Dr. Ferjani is also working as associate professor in the department of environmental engineering, Libyan Academy, Tripoli.

Careers
Dr. Iman Farjani worked immediately after her graduation as a researcher at the National Scientific Research Authority. Between 1986 and 1989, she participated with a team of university professors and researchers as a member of the research team to study the agricultural plateau project. Then she moved to the Faculty of Agriculture as a research assistant in the field of soil fertility and analysis until 1994 when she joined the graduate studies program and obtained a master's degree in the field 0f Microbiology in 1997. She was promoted to the rank of assistant researcher at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil and Water, University of Tripoli. After obtaining her doctorate, she obtained the rank of lecturer in 2012, then assistant professor in 2018 at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil and Water, University of Tripoli. Between 2013 and 2018, she held the position of Head of the General Department at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tripoli
Research Interests

Over the years of her academic career, Dr. Iman Al-Farjani has worked as an associate professor at the Libyan Academy in Tripoli and collaborated with the Agricultural Research Center at the Ministry of Agriculture. She is also a member of the Libyan Academics and Experts Organization.
