The career of Professor Hana Ammar at the University of Tripoli began in 2011, when she was appointed as a teaching assistant in the English Department of the Faculty of Languages. During her job as a Teaching Assistant, she taught General English to the College of Engineering to freshmen. She also performed tasks in the Examinations and Supervision Committee of the department. Her academic career continued by enrolling in postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Languages. She was sent to the United Kingdom after that, where she obtained a TESOL certificate from one of the most important language centers in Britain, International House London, in 2014. She obtained a master's degree and joined one of the prestigious universities in the capital, "King's College London" in 2015 in Specialization in English language teaching and applied linguistics (ELT & Applied Linguistics). She completed her career in the Faculty of Languages ​​after that as an assistant lecturer, and she gave lectures in the English language department and presessional course students. she was also  assigned to teach in other faculties as well at the university. Also in new tasks in the department: Hana has been providing academic guidance and practical support from the inception of the project to the submission of the thesis. She also took over the management of the official group of the English Language Department on the social media Facebook, in order to open channels of communication between faculty members and students in the department.

Careers

Hana Ammar started as a teaching assistant at the college of language, then became an assistant lecturer . Lately, She promoted to a Lecturer after her paper publication .

Research Interests

Hana's main research interest in her major is related to teaching English as a foreign language / Applied Linguistics / Sociolinguistics / blended Learning

External Activities

Hana has trained different teachers working in government and private schools on "how to make a lesson plan", cooperating with the Britich Counsil Libya in 2022.
