Careers

Before he was appointed a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Education, University of Tripoli, in the mid-eighties of the last century, he worked as a teacher at the Ibn Manzur Institute for Teachers for nearly three years, during which he supervised the implementation of the practical education program at the institute, in addition to his teaching and administrative duties. He was also chosen as a member of the institute’s administration in the last two years, during which he gained He has good educational experience and skills. He was also chosen as a member of the final examination committees for secondary school students and intermediate institutes at the level of the Greater Tripoli Municipality. He was assigned by the Ministry of Education as an external examiner for practical education at the level of teachers’ institutes in the cities of Tripoli and Zawiya... Then he moved to work at the University Tripoli as a teaching assistant in the College of Education, and during his work as a teaching assistant in the Department of Education and Psychology in the same college, he participated as an active member in the examination committees in Department L for more than a quarter of a century, and his membership in those committees continued until after he obtained his master’s degree from the College of Arts, Department of Education and Psychology, in the specialty of Fundamentals of Education in the year 2006, where he has since taught many subjects in his field of specialization, including the foundations of education, comparative education, theories of education, educational sociology, philosophy of education, educational thought, and the history of education and learning in Libya. He was assigned to teach within a program to qualify and raise the efficiency of male and female campaign teachers. Specialized secondary schools for two years 2008/2009 in cooperation with the General Center for Training and Qualification of Teachers in Libya. He was also chosen as a member of the research team in the technical cooperation project between the General People’s Committee for Education and the German Foundation for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) to improve the quality of basic and specialized secondary education in Libya in 2008. 2008, during which he gained diverse and rich experiences and skills by the visit of the research team assigned to him as a member of many schools in various Libyan cities and regions, east, west, and south, in addition to the schools of Tripoli, the capital. He was also assigned, by the decision of the Minister of Higher Education, to membership in an investigation committee to monitor the quality of education. He graduated from a private university in 2010, which contributed to enriching his experience with legislation and laws related to education in Libya.

Research Interests

Since he was appointed a member of the teaching staff in the Department of Education and Psychology at the College of Arts in June 2006, his interests have focused on issues of teacher preparation, training, and development. He participated actively in the first scientific conference of the College of Education in Tripoli in 2008, where he was appointed a member of the media committee for the conference and participated in all the workshops that took place therein, as well as The situation in the second scientific conference of the College of Education in Tripoli, held in October 2010, where he was assigned to chair the media committee for this conference. He was an active member in all the conference’s activities and workshops. He also contributed, in cooperation with the Center for Educational Curricula and Educational Research at the Ministry of Education, to preparing and evaluating some educational curricula and curricula. related to his specialty, and as a founding member of the Libyan Society for the Support and Development of Education, he contributed effectively to the various meetings and activities of the Society in raising and enriching many issues related to education in general and to the issues and requirements of teacher preparation and training in particular. His most recent scientific activities were By participating in the First Jordanian Conference on Mental Health, held in Amman, May 24-26, 2023, from which he benefited greatly by attending several workshops, the most important of which was related to the mental health of the teacher and its repercussions on his students.

External Activities

Within the framework of the university’s openness to its social environment to identify various issues and problems and study them scientifically, he contributed to many civil society organizations related to his specialization in many scientific activities and events related to the education, development, and building of the human being as the pillar of civilization and the renaissance of the nation, where he was a member He was prominent in the Libyan Club for Human Development and contributed effectively, based on his specialization, to raising the level of awareness among members of society by focusing on the importance of education and the role of the teacher as a role model in instilling values. He also contributed to most of the founding meetings of the Libyan Society for Supporting and Developing Education and various dialogues, discussions, and scientific sessions to discuss various issues, problems, and obstacles to raising the level of the educational process and the level of adequacy and efficiency of the teacher as it is the basic foundation for the advancement of the educational process. He has other contributions in membership in some civil society institutions of an educational, humanitarian, and legal nature, where he contributed to supervising the cultural and artistic activities that were He targeted the buds and cubs of the Tarsana Club in Souq Al-Jumaa in the summer period for several years. He also contributed to the cultural and artistic activities of the Libyan Youth Hostels Association and played a major role in the various activities of the Haqqi Foundation for defending property rights as one of the founding members of this leading human rights institution.
