Dr. Jamal Abdel Nasser Khalifa Al-Jazwi has been a member of the teaching staff of the Spanish Language Department at the University of Tripoli. He is the founder of this department at Al-Fateh University “formerly” since 1989. He headed the Spanish Language Department since its establishment until he was dispatched to Spain in 1995.

Research Interests

He has several studies and researches in the field of Spanish language and literature, comparative literature and Andalusian studies, and has translated several books from Spanish into Arabic in the same field.

 Published several researches and studies in local and international magazines and books dealing with Spanish and Andalusian studies.

 He also worked in the field of simultaneous translation for the Libyan state in many international conferences and meetings.

External Activities

Examiner professor in the field of translation and language in several departments and ministries in the Libyan state. He also participates in discussing scientific theses and university theses outside the university and participates in translation for official meetings.

 Member, reviewer and reviewer in several journals dealing with Spanish and Andalusian studies in higher educational institutions abroad.
