Dr. Fatima Abusua is one of the staff members at the department of prosthodontics faculty of Dentistry in the field of Dental Bio-material Science. Dr. Fatima is currently working as a lecturer in this field since 2009-08-16. She has several publications in the field. She is both a local as well as an international reviewer. Dr. Fatima Abusua has also participated in establishing the department of Medical Engineering as a new field in the faculty of Engineering and she is one of the team in the division of Mechanical Medical Engineering. Now she is striving with a team from the faculty of dentistry to establish post graduate studies in the field of Dental Bio-material Science.

Careers

In 2000 Dr. Fatima Issa M. Abusua was employed as an assistant in the department of Prostodotics in the field of Dental Bio-material Science in the faculty of Dentistry Tripoli University. She continued working as an assistant in the department for 3 years after which she received a scholarship for post-graduate studies in her field in Wilhelm's University Muenster Germany 2004 after successfully finishing an 8 month German language course that started in 2003. She was awarded her PhD in 2008. She started her work as a lecturer after returning from Germany in the field of Dental Bio-material Science in 2009.

• Medical and Nano technologies
• Metallurgy related to dental implant and prosthetic Dentistry and their relation to methods of gold and precious metal smithing
• Alternative medicine (Homeopathy/ Photo-dynamic therapy / Acupuncture and Acupressure)
• Food Preservation 
• CAD and 3D printing in the field prosthetics and prostodontics as well as applying this to improve /modernize the methods of gold and precious metal smithimg  in the Libyan jewelry smith society
• Environment and Renewable Energy
