Salma Zriba is an esteemed faculty member in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Zriba has been a dedicated lecturer at the University of Tripoli since January 7, 2003. Her extensive experience and expertise in her field are reflected in her numerous scientific publications, which contribute significantly to the body of knowledge in oral and maxillofacial surgery.Throughout her career, Dr. Zriba has held several key positions within the university. She served as the Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during the 2016/2017 academic year, leading the department through important developments and initiatives. From 2019 to 2022, she was the Supervisor of the Surgery Unit, where she managed surgical training and clinical education with a focus on maintaining high standards of practice. Her leadership and strategic planning during this period were pivotal in enhancing the unit's performance and its alignment with contemporary surgical practices.In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Zriba is actively involved in the clinical training of students. She conducts group clinical sessions, averaging three groups per week, where she imparts practical skills and knowledge essential for their professional development. Her hands-on approach and dedication to student education are highly valued by her colleagues and students alike, contributing to the overall quality of the training program.Currently, Dr. Zriba holds the position of Director of the Faculty Members Office at the Faculty of Dentistry. In this role, she is responsible for managing administrative matters related to faculty members and serving as a key liaison between the college and the university administration. Her role involves coordinating various administrative tasks, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the academic environment. Dr. Zriba's ability to navigate complex administrative processes and her commitment to enhancing faculty support are central to her current role.Dr. Zriba’s contributions extend beyond her administrative and clinical roles. Careers

Dr. Salma Zriba obtained her Bachelor's degree in Dentistry in 1997 with an overall grade of "Very Good" and was the top of her class. She was accepted as a teaching assistant in the Department of Orthodontics in 2000. She was diligent in attending lectures and assisting the course professor in the clinical aspect of training students. In 2014, she received a scholarship for postgraduate studies in Germany. However, due to the unavailability of an orthodontics specialization, she was directed by the student supervisor to study Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery instead. She obtained her Facharzt certification in 2008. Upon her return, she was not accepted due to the change in specialization, which was beyond her control. She was reinstated by court order in July 2013, with her status changed to faculty member and promoted to the rank of lecturer after obtaining her PhD.
