Dr. Ahmed Aboulsayan assumed the duties of Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, University of Tripoli during the period (2013-2017) and the period (2008-2009), and Head of the Department of Study and Examinations - Faculty of Economics and Political Science, University of Tripoli during the period (1991-2003): Dr. Ahmed Aboulsayan is currently a faculty member at the University of Tripoli with the rank of professor as of 11th/15/2014. He still holds this rank and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization.

Careers

Dr. Ahmed Aboulsayan began his professional career as a teaching assistant in the Department of Economics and Political Science as of 1st-10-1986 to become a faculty member as of 13th-11-1991. He now holds the position of a faculty member with the rank of professor at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at the University of Tripoli. Dr. Ahmed Aboulsayan was previously appointed twice as The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science and as Head of the Department of Economics at the Academy of Graduate Studies during the period (2003-2008), and a member of the Graduate Studies Committee of the Department of Economics and the Department of Statistics and Econometrics at the faculty of Economics and Political Science the University of Tripoli.

Research Interests

Dr. Ahmed Aboulsayan has many published researches and studies that address local, regional and international economic issues. Most of his research interests focus on quantitative analysis studies and the field of economic policies and development.

External Activities

Dr. Ahmed Aboulsayan was assigned many scientific and research tasks outside the university. He was assigned the duties of a member of the Supreme Committee for Supporting and Financing Research at the National Authority for Scientific Research (Head of the Economic Field) and as a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Centre for Scientific Studies, and he continues to do so until now. He was also previously assigned as a member of the General Committee for privatizing public projects and an advisor to the Ministry of Economy and trade, and as an economic advisor to the National Security Council, and a member of the Monitoring Group and many committees specialized in evaluating and studying the economic situation.
