Scientific research is a fundamental pillar of the University and its institutions in addition to learning, education, and community service, but scientific research is considered the most important, thanks to it in harnessing technology and knowledge to achieve the optimal investment of human and material resources of society in order to achieve sustainable development. Therefore, there is no way to achieve the comprehensive development that we hope for except through attention to scientific research aimed at serving the nation's issues, and consultations and training are of importance . The real renaissance begins from the University and the college, because it has the elements of renaissance that no other institution of society has, where the elite of minds and competencies gather, and experience and the ability to create and renew are available.Scientific research has occupied a part of the college's interests, starting from the initial scientific research of students (graduation projects), up to the research of faculty members, as the College aims to improve scientific research and prepare an outstanding researcher, believing in its role in community development. To ensure the quality of scientific research, the research department at the college has developed a number of mechanisms that ensure fairness and transparency in all matters related to research policies, and the department also seeks to develop mechanisms for training and consulting .

We seek to promote educational and scientific development, focusing on meeting the needs of the market and society and achieving positive change in the field of education through high-quality research, consulting and training.

Objectives

The objectives of the research, consulting and Training Department are based on the vision and mission of the college and its general strategic directions. As its objectives are derived from the objectives of the University Research Center for this, the common strategic goals that the department hopes to achieve include:

1. Developing scientific research in the field of education and learning sciences, i.e. enhancing research activities and developing the capabilities of faculty members and researchers in the Department. Increase the number of published papers, enhance research cooperation with other institutions, enhance the quality of research and its impact in the field of Education.

2. Providing specialized consulting services in the field of education, including providing advice and support to educational institutions, teachers and educational supervisors in the development and improvement of their educational and administrative practices.

3. Develop human resources professionally and technically by providing training and development programs for teachers, educational supervisors and workers in the field of Education.

4. Spreading the culture of continuous learning among faculty, staff and students. This can be achieved by offering training programs, workshops and educational seminars to develop teaching, research and consulting skills.

5. Communicate and cooperate with other departments of the Faculty, other educational institutions and the local community. For the purpose of exchanging knowledge and experiences, organizing educational events, seminars and conferences.

Tasks

The tasks of the section and units were defined as follows:First: the tasks of the research, consulting and Training DepartmentThe Department administratively follows the Deanship of the faculty, and technically follows the research, consulting and Training Center at the University. The department is the link between the research, consulting and Training Center at the University and the scientific and service departments at the college, and according to Article (No. 38), the department specializes in the following tasks:1. Coordination between the scientific departments that are related to the technical consultations received from the technical consulting office at the university or from the research and scientific studies centers affiliated with the University.

2. Overcoming the difficulties that may face scientific research at the faculty in coordination with the competent authorities .

3. Taking the necessary measures to implement what the editorial family of the College Magazine requests in order to issue special issues at the required level, in coordination with the relevant authorities.According to the first meeting of the year (2020) of the heads of research and consulting departments at the colleges, the mechanism of work of the research department was determined as follows:

1. Definition of the center's work program.

2. Coordinate with the center's management in the implementation of various programs .

3. Documentation of previous projects and research.

4. Invite and encourage faculty members by documenting their work in the University database (research published in journals, conferences, books, patents)

5. Invite and encourage faculty members interested in research and consulting to register in the research groups program .

6. Identify the services that can be implemented by the college or provided to the community.

Second: the tasks of the research and consulting unitThe research and consulting unit undertakes the following tasks:

1. Coordinate with the coordinators of educational programs to prepare an annual research plan at the college and take the necessary measures to adopt and publish it and follow up its implementation.

2. Take the necessary measures to benefit from outstanding student research, and work on its publication.

3. Compile and classify the scientific production of faculty members, and supervise its deposit in the University's digital repository.

4. Supervising the organization of workshops in the field of scientific research, publishing mechanisms in journals with a high impact factor.

5. Providing the necessary facilities to help faculty members register with the Google Scholar platform and similar platforms, follow up on the number of citations for their research, and prepare periodic reports in particular.

6. Follow-up updating the college's publications on its website, evaluating their effectiveness, and preparing periodic reports in particular.

Third: the tasks of the training and development unitThe tasks of the training and development unit can be outlined in the following points:

1. Analyze the training needs of faculty and staff and develop appropriate training programs to meet those needs.

2. Organizing and coordinating training courses, workshops and other educational programs.

3. Updating and implementing training plans and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.

4. Guiding and assisting participants in training programs and providing technical support and advice.

5. Cooperation with third parties for the implementation of joint training programs or the exchange of experience and resources.

6. Provide reports on the results of training programs and assess their impact on individuals and the organization.

Tasks of department coordinators:The department coordinators are the link between the research, consulting and training department at the college and all other scientific departments and service offices to achieve the Department's goals, therefore, the tasks of the department coordinators can be determined in the following:

1. Linking the scientific department with the research, consulting and training department at the college to manage the performance of the required tasks according to the plan of the Research Center at Tripoli university, and the plan of the Department.

2. Provide the data and requirements needed by the research department of the college, such as the research priorities of the departments, their training needs, and graduation projects... Etc

3. Cooperation in the completion of workshops and training courses .

4. Preparation of statistics for the Department regarding the scientific output of faculty members from authored or translated books, published research, scientific citations, and what has been published in high-impact journals.

5. Ensure that the graduation projects in the department are of high quality and take into account the scientific methodology and ethics of scientific research and their relevance to the educational process.

6. Provide data on the participation of faculty members outside the college and work on developing a framework for these participation represented by the University of Tripoli Faculty of Education Qasr bin ghashir .

7. Preparation of semi-annual and annual reports on the activities of the Department.

Organizational Structure for Research & Consultation and Training Department
