Dr Abdulbaset Elfeturi is one of the staff members at the department of architecture and urban planning, University of Tripoli with more than 30 years experience in academia and practice.    He works primary as an Associate Professor of architecture and urban planning. Elfeturi' primary roles now are as lecturer, Bsc and Msc supervisor as well as researcher works with a variety of research teams as either leader, collaborator, or mentor. As Bsc supervisor Elfeturi has more than 20 completions. Dr Elfeturi now is the head of higher studies at the department of Architecture an Urban Planning at the University of Tripoli. Careers

Dr Abdulbaset Elfeturi was educated at Concordia University in Canada where he received his Masters with distinction in Architecture.  He received his PhD in Architecture from the University of Dundee in the UK. He has over 30 years of professional experience as an architect in private practice and as a founder member of Altaktet Bureau for Architectural Consultations. Elfeturi was involved in designing the Twin Tower in the city center of Tripoli. He has designed several houses, some public buildings and was involved as a team leader in the Third Generation Project (3G).  Since 2000 he has been a staff member in Architecture at Tripoli University, department of architecture and urban planning. He has presented and published many research papers in the field of architecture and urban design.

Research Interests

Dr Elfeturi is recognised as research active member, and has published range of peer reviewed , classified journals and nationally and international conferences. His research and writing focus primarily on sustainable urban design and Advanced architecture technology.
