The Faculty of Engineering is one of the oldest faculties of the University of Tripoli, as it abounds with scientific competencies from faculty members in various engineering disciplines, who obtained qualifications in postgraduate studies from prestigious universities from scientific schools from America, Canada, the United Kingdom (Britain), France and other schools, including what is known as In eastern countries.... Therefore, the elites available in the Faculty are diverse, allowing students to deal with different educational schools, which is a positive and motivating thing for students.

Currently, the number of faculty members in the Faculty  is about 340 faculty members, including those who were appointed or changed their status from teaching assistant to faculty member during the past two years 2021 and 2022 AD, and it also includes those who have been extended for the need of their services.

There are 14 scientific departments in the faculty the members of the faculty  are distributed in varying numbers according to the number of students studying in each department, and the total number of students is more than 8000 students.

The Office of Faculty Members Affairs in the college provides its various administrative services to everyone who holds the status of a faculty member in the college, in cooperation with the General Administration of Faculty Members Affairs. Follow up the collaborators' procedures and assist in completing the retirement procedures. The office also prepares the periodic report on the office's work activity, which contains many statistics related to the members of the faculty.

Tasks

- Take procedures to complete the contracting and appointment documents and refer them to the competent authorities.

- Notify the university of the college's needs for faculty members in accordance with the requirements set by the college to take action to announce them.

- Preparing data and statistics for faculty members and reporting them to the university.

- Taking measures to enable new faculty members to receive their work, in coordination with the relevant academic departments, and informing the university of that.

- Taking procedures to release those who have completed their work from among the faculty members and informing the university of that.

- Follow-up procedures for promotions of faculty members.

- Participate in the preparation of plans related to the college's strategic activity.

- Coordinating with the competent authorities in the administrative and financial affairs of faculty members.

- Representing the college in meetings related to the functions of the office.

- Preparing periodic reports on the office's activities.
