Roles

Since my appointment at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Al-Zawia in July 2014 until February 2026, I have undertaken numerous academic and administrative responsibilities that contributed to the development of the Computer Engineering Department. I served as Study and Examination Coordinator for eight years, where I organized course schedules and ensured the smooth conduct of teaching and examinations in accordance with the highest standards of quality. Subsequently, I held the position of Head of Department for two years, during which I supervised the affairs of faculty members and students, coordinated academic and administrative activities within the department, and contributed to the development of curricula and the updating of courses in line with scientific and technological advancements. I also represented the department in faculty meetings and participated in scientific and administrative committees, thereby strengthening the department’s standing within the university.

On the teaching side, I delivered more than ten different courses in the field of computer engineering and contributed to the graduation of several cohorts of engineers by supervising approximately thirty bachelor’s degree projects. In addition, I worked as a part-time lecturer at the University of Tripoli – Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering – for one and a half years prior to my official transfer, during which I continued supervising graduation projects, and I still follow up on a number of them to this day. With my transition to the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Control and Computer Division, I continue my academic journey by teaching advanced courses such as “Computer Architecture and Design” and “Microcontrollers,” thereby enhancing students’ knowledge and linking theoretical concepts with practical applications.

These diverse responsibilities, including my leadership experience as Head of the Computer Engineering Department at the University of Al-Zawia, reflect my ongoing commitment to the university’s mission in education, research, and community service. They also highlight my extensive expertise in developing academic programs and supervising students, contributing to the advancement of engineering education in Libya.
