A teaching staff member and the director of graduate studies at University Of Tripoli/ Libya. I was assigned to this position and started working on it on March 15, 2023. In addition to being a delegate of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research as a member of the Libyan General Committee for Graduate Studies in accordance with the decision of the Head Minister No. (1500) of 2022 AD, as well as the Chairman of the Libyan Committee for supervising Masters according to the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (1540) of 2022 AD.

Master of Chemical Engineering from University Of Newcastle Upon Tyne (United Kingdom)

Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering (University Of Tripoli/ Libya)

Certificate in Teaching Skills Development from the University of Southampton (United Kingdom).

Certificate in "Auditors in Quality Assurance and Accreditation" as per the standards issued by the National Center for Quality Assurance & Accreditation of Educational & Training Institutions. 

Careers

Director of the Department of Graduate Studies at Tripoli University since 15/3/2023 AD until today.

Member of the Advisory Committee for Graduate Studies at the University of Tripoli and a rapporteur on it as of 15/3/2023 AD until today, which is chaired by the head of Scientific Affairs at University of Tripoli.

Member of the Higher Studies Committee at the University of Tripoli and its Rapporteur as of 15/3/2023 AD until today. which is chaired by the Undersecretary for Scientific Affairs at the University of Tripoli. 

Since November 2021 until August 2022  as a delegated member in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research according to the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (698) of 2021 AD.

Participated with many colleagues in establishing a database of graduate programs in Libyan national and academic universities, through diligent and exhausting work with various work teams assigned by the ministerial decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the aim of localising graduate studies. This work was accompanied by field visits to all Libyan universities in every city to be able to perceive the reality and analyse their conditions.

From October 2017 to October 2021, I was entrusted with the duties of the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs at faculty of Engineering/ University of Tripoli (Libya), according to the University President's  decision No. (2208) of 2017 dated 6/11/2017. 

From August 2013 to September 2017 as the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Study and Examinations Department of Faculty of Engineering, according to the decision of the Faculty's  dean No. 11 of 2013 dated 5/9/2013 which been endorsed also by a decision of the University's President No. (3801) of 2013 (more than 10,000 students were engaged in study at this faculty covering 13 different engineering departments).

Member of the Committee, which was then formed by the President of Tripoli University to consider matters related to study and examinations in various faculties, according to decision No. (309) of 2014 dated 3/2/2014.

Management Experience in Field of Industry and Research:

During the period from May 1989 to August 1996, employed in the Technical Research Centre of Tripoli as Chief Engineer for the construction of a Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant. During this project we have gained and developed our theoretical and practical experience in plant design;  starting from a simple flow sheet diagrams: P & I diagram to the design of different plant equipment: piping, process control ( including different plant instrument such as: flow and level measurements, control valves,  pH  measurements, …etc);  to equipment layout and building layout. In this project I became aware of difficulties and challenges facing construction engineers during erection of chemical plants.

From August 1999 to April 2002, after acquiring my Master degree certificate, I returned to the Technical Research centre and appointed as the General  Manager of the Ibn-Sinaa Centre. During this period, I had chance to broad and practice my leadership skills as I was responsible for more than 300 staff (including engineers from all branches, technicians, employees and others). My knowledge of other engineering works had also broadened. One of the most important works entrusted to the centre was the design and supervision of the preparation of the necessary orders for the establishments and installation of devices and equipment for an integrated chemical complex similar to that currently established in the associated area, in cooperation with some well-known international companies. This project had a great impact in refining and expanding the scientific perceptions that each graduate needs and a rare opportunity to simulate the reality with scientific concepts and foundations  acquired by the engineer during his university study period, as well as to link  scientifically and practically between various engineering and technical disciplines and gain great experience from foreign expertise specialised in the fields of design, development and construction.

From July /2007 to November 2008 as a consultant in the Ibn-Haitham research center.

Teaching Experience:

As a faculty member cooperating with the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Tripoli during the period  from April 2009 to January 2010, where I was engaged in teaching some specialised courses.

As a member of cooperating faculty with the Higher Institute for Comprehensive Professions in Ghiryan,  Department of Chemical Engineering, from October 2008 to 2018, where I taught Heat and mass transfer courses as well as supervising many graduation projects at the institute. 

As cooperating faculty member with the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies during the period from October 2010 to June 2015, where I taught some advanced courses in the field of chemical engineering in addition to supervising graduation theses to obtain master degree and participating in a large number of discussion committees for other graduate students to obtain their scientific qualification degrees.
