The department is currently studying the Kiswahili language and the Hausa language (the Division of African Languages) as two specialization subjects and general subjects in the rest of the other departments. The current time to teach it as a major subject.

Promoting cultural and academic communication between Libya and African and Asian countries by teaching and learning their mother tongues

Objectives

  • Preparing teachers to teach African and Asian languages to non-native speakers.
  • Preparing qualified translators from Arabic into African and Asian languages and vice versa.
  • Supplying ministries, public bodies and institutions in society, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, And the Ministry of Interior, and the Agency for Combating Illegal Immigration, and the General Intelligence Agency, and the Border Guard and interest Customs, research and scientific institutions and universities with qualified elements in these languages.
  • Providing advisory services to public and private entities.
  • Getting acquainted with the African and Asian languages in an attempt to facilitate the Arabic language for non-native speakers, writing and teaching, and translating it into Arabic.
  • Access to manuscripts in African and Asian languages
