Roles

 Senior lecturer in international law, I have taught a variety of courses related to public international law, including international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and human rights. I supervised numerous student research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and contributed to the development of academic curricula in line with international legal advancements. In addition, I have participated in numerous local and international academic conferences, presenting research on issues related to contemporary international law. I have also organized legal workshops to enhance students' skills in legal analysis and drafting international legal arguments.

Careers

• Teaching Assistant in International Law - Faculty of Law, University of Tripoli - 2011. In this position, I was responsible for providing academic support to faculty members through the preparation of course materials and conducting research. I also assisted in organizing classes and academic reviews for undergraduate students.

• Assistant Lecturer in International Law - Faculty of Law, University of Tripoli - since 2016. During this period, I taught several core subjects for law students, such as Public International Law and Human Rights, in addition to supervising undergraduate students’ graduation projects.

• Lecturer in International Law - Faculty of Law, University of Tripoli - 2021. I transitioned to the position of lecturer, where my responsibilities expanded to include teaching advanced courses in International Criminal Law and International Humanitarian Law. I also developed new course materials and delivered lectures at international conferences.

• Senior Lecturer of International Law - Faculty of Law, University of Tripoli - 2024. At this stage, I contributed to academic research and supervised master’s theses, in addition to publishing legal research in specialized international journals.

Research Interests

My research interests focus on areas of public international law, with a particular emphasis on international criminal law and international humanitarian law. I also concentrate on human rights issues, the rule of law in armed conflicts, and the international responsibility of states for serious violations of international law. Additionally, my interests include the study of irregular migration, transnational crimes, and security and justice policies in Libya and neighboring countries. Through my research, I aim to contribute scientifically to understanding international legal challenges and promoting good governance and the rule of law.

External Activities

In addition to my academic work at the university, I participate in several external activities. I have served as an external reviewer for various international legal journals, evaluating research and studies specialized in international law and human rights. I also work as a legal advisor for international NGOs operating in Libya, providing legal support on issues related to irregular migration and human rights. Additionally, I contribute to organizing international workshops and conferences focused on international law, and I participate in editing legal articles in specialized journals.
