Omar Ahmed Al-Bendaq is one of the faculty members in the Department of Sociology at the College of Arts, Tripoli. He began his work as a teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology in November 1986. He discussed his master’s thesis, specializing in sociology, at the beginning of 1996, and obtained his doctorate from the National University of Minot - Ireland in the middle of the year. 2008.

Professor Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Bandaq received membership in a number of scientific committees and advisory committees inside and outside Libya, including: Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Social Issues and Social Studies, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Scientific Journal London and the Journal of Sociology. He held the duties of: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Studies.
