The Department of Journalism was initially established as a division affiliated with the Department of Media in 1993. The department grants a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in media and multimedia, by offering an integrated academic program that keeps pace with successive developments in the field of traditional and digital media. Also, the department qualifies distinguished media cadres and trains them in the arts, editing, directing, designing and montage in various digital environments.
