Vision
That the department be the main reference in applying quality standards for all programs and systems of the faculty, through continuous evaluation of the efficiency of performance and keenness on the purity of the outputs in order to reach excellence locally and regionally.
Mission
Persistent and serious work to apply quality standards academically and administratively in order to raise the level of the faculty’s performance and to achieve its goals in education, scientific research and community service.
Objectives
The department seeks to achieve the following goals:
· Raising the level of faculty graduates.
· Developing the performance of the scientific and administrative units of the faculty in pursuit of accreditation.
· Spreading quality culture amongst all parties to the educational process (student, employee, and faculty member).
· Distinguishment of the teaching staff in the college in research production and providing services to society and the environment.
Tasks
· Following-up on the implementation of general policies for performance evaluation and quality assurance for all departments of the faculty, and ensuring that all objectives of this policy are understood, agreed upon and garners enthusiasm.
· Reviewing and updating the faculty’s strategy and its primarymessage in the light of scientific developments and the latest developments.
· Technically supervising performance evaluation units in scientific departments, providing consultations, conducting self-evaluation studies and preparing for accreditation.
· Planning and preparing follow-up, examination and self-evaluation systems for the activities of the college, its departments and its various academic and administrative programs, and submitting reports that include quality observations and ways to fix and address deficiencies in the programs of the various departments of the college.
· Ensuring quality assurance for the various departments of the faculty.
· Analyzing the results of self-evaluation studies, stating the negatives and positives, and submitting proposals to develop the performance of the various units to obtain accreditation.
· Developing a database for programs and academic degrees awarded by the college, and creating a database for all administrative units in the college, in order to follow up on their development.
· Publishing information related to quality assurance and accreditation mechanisms in quality pamphlets and pamphlets.(1)
