Soomia Al-Haddad is a faculty member in the Biology Department of the College of Education, Tripoli, since May 17-2015. Ms. Soomia Al-Haddad has been working at the University of Tripoli as a lecturer since Sep 25-2019 and has many scientific publications in her field of specialization

Careers

She worked a teacher in secondary education at Al-Andalus  School (Boys) during the period 2005_2015.

Lecturer/ collaborator in the Higher Institute for universal  Medical Professions during the period 2013_2014, and Lecturer/ collaborator of Department of Public Health in Faculty of medical sciences /University of Tripoli, during the period 2013_2015, 

Lecturer/ Collaborator in General Department - College of medical sciences / University of Tripoli during the period 2014_2015.

Lecturer/Collaborator in the preliminary stage of medical sciences / University of Tripoli during the two periods 2015_2016 and 2021_2022.

Lecturer  in the Department of Biology - Faculty of Education / University of Tripoli from 2015 to now. She worked as a coordinator for documentation and information in the Department of Biology - College of Education / University of Tripoli from Spring 2017 AD to Spring 2022 AD.

Also coordinator of the study and examination in the Department of Biology - Faculty of Education / University of Tripoli from the fall of 2021 to now.

Research Interests

She Presented a research paper was published in Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences ( Libyan Authority For Research Science and Technology) entitled: Detection of the splicing defects(c.1845+11c>g), and common polymorphism (1773C>T) in exon 12 of LDL-R gene on chromosome 19 among some Heterozygous FH patients in Tripoli.

External Activities

She participated in the training course for female teachers to raise efficiency during the two periods (24-25/9/2018 AD) and (10_15/2/2019. She was presented workshop with the participation of the Libyan Down Syndrome Society about integrating of Down syndrome children children into society during the educational process on (10/10/2018 and 10/24/2018 ). As well, participated in a workshop on sustainable development (To gather for sustainable shores) with the participation of the Libyan Society of Marine Sciences on (10/2/2020). And made a community participation by spreading awareness of the importance of preserving the marine environment by participating in the Sea and Sun campaign to clean the beaches in cooperation with the Libyan Association of Friends of Craft Fishing and the Oxygen Association on (10/9/2021).
