Dr. Tarek elgusbi is a prominent faculty member in the Department of Public Health at the Faculty of Medical Technology, University of Tripoli. He has held the position of lecturer since December 1, 2016, and has built a distinguished academic career. He has actively contributed to the development of educational and research programs within the department and participated in numerous scientific activities aimed at promoting health awareness in Libyan society.He holds a master’s degree in his field, and his research has focused on nationally significant public health issues and improving the quality of healthcare services. Dr. Elgusbi has published many peer-reviewed scientific articles that reflect his deep interest in the psychological and social aspects of health. He has also taken part in scientific and training events in collaboration with national institutions such as the National Center for Disease Control.Among his students and colleagues, he is known for his passion for teaching and his commitment to delivering knowledge in a clear and effective manner, making him one of the influential academic figures in his field..

Careers

2024 – Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agricultural Sciences (Nutrition) from the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University.

• 2007 – Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology from the Faculty of Science, Manchester Metropolitan University.

1999 – Master’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Tripoli, Libya.

1987 – Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tripoli, Libya.

Research Interests

Dr. Tarek  elgusbi has a deep interest in the field of human and animal nutrition, a rich and multidisciplinary area that brings together agricultural sciences, molecular biology, and public health.

His research in comparative nutrition between humans and animals covers topics such as:

• The impact of nutrients on growth and health in living organisms

• Comparing different dietary systems and their effects on biological performance

• Diseases resulting from malnutrition in both humans and animals

• Using animal models to understand nutritional mechanisms in humans

External Activities

Dr. ELGUSBI has been involved in numerous activities outside the college, including:

• Serving as an external examiner for graduation projects at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tripoli

• Working as an inspector for Al-Qistas Food Inspection Company
