She is a faculty member at the College of Medical Technology, Department of Public Health. She has been working in higher education since 2007 until the present, teaching a range of fundamental topics in nutrition and food sciences. The doctor collaborated with faculty members in the Department of Public Health to establish a Clinical Nutrition Division for postgraduate studies in the department, where she developed the study plan for this division and specified the academic content to be taught in each course offered. She has several research publications in internationally recognized journals. She has supervised numerous graduation projects for undergraduate and master's students from various departments, including the Department of Public Health and Home Economics at the College of Agriculture. She has participated in several local and international conferences and organized various scientific gatherings at the college attended by the university president, several faculty members, students, and a group of guests from the Ministry of Health and the Nutritionists' Association. She oversaw the recent elections for the Libyan Nutritionists' Association. She also holds a patent in the United States. She is interested in volunteering in community awareness initiatives regarding the importance of healthy nutrition and the provision of school nutrition programs in Libya and their impact on public health. Additionally, she is committed to achieving sustainable development goals in Libya, as she is the president and founder of the Slow Food Organization for Nutrition and Public Health.

Careers

After obtaining my bachelor's degree in 1992, I was appointed to secondary education in 1996. After obtaining my master's degree in 2006, I was appointed to the University of Al-Zaytouna, where I was nominated for a scholarship to complete my studies and obtain a doctorate abroad. I obtained my doctorate from the United States in 2017. After that, I returned to my homeland. After working for more than ten years as a lecturer and teaching various subjects related to food sciences and nutrition, and cooperating with various parties to spread knowledge and achieve community service by giving seminars throughout the country on nutritional awareness, food safety and food security in Libya. And cooperating with international organizations in giving advice and managing some work that concerns the Libyan citizen in Libya, in addition to supervising bachelor's and master's projects in the universities where I worked, she is now teaching and supervising graduate studies graduation projects at the College of Medical Technology, the College of Agriculture and the Academy of Graduate Studies in Janzour. She is the coordinator of postgraduate studies in the Department of Higher Nutrition in the Department of Public Health at the College of Medical Technology. She is also a member of the Curriculum Development Committee in the department. In addition to volunteering as Vice President of the School Nutrition Committee and as an expert for the Ministry of Education in school nutrition. In addition to being the head of the SLOVE Organization for Nutrition and Public Health, she is the head of the General Assembly of the School Nutrition Association and a member of the Libyan Women's Union.

Research Interests

She is interested in scientific research in the field of food sciences and nutrition, as well as everything related to public health.

Interested in community service and spreading nutritional awareness among Libyan citizens to avoid chronic diseases prevalent in Libya, which lead to thousands of deaths annually, and everything that helps in the advancement of Libyan society.

External Activities

She works as a reviewer of work for experimental magazines as an expert and vice president of the School Nutrition Committee with the Ministry of Education and for some time with organizations such as WFP, INTERSOS, and supervising some humanitarian aid in the event of disasters or humanitarian crises by virtue of being the head of a non-governmental and non-socialist SLOF organization, and participated with entities that could be different to serve the community by giving seminars throughout the country to raise awareness of poor nutrition and nutritious food in Libya. They agreed with international organizations to give a partnership and manage some work that concerns Libyans in Libya. Interested in volunteering in the field of community awareness of the importance of healthy nutrition and increasing school nutrition in Libya and its effects on public health, she was able to successfully and the future of Libya in general. She was also interested in everything related to achieving the goals of social development in Libya by virtue of being the head and founder of the SALOOF organization for feeding the general cushion. I was hired to work as vice president of the School Nutrition Committee for Basic Education. She represented Libya in several forums and congresses, including the Arab Curriculum Development Conference held by UNESCO, and represented the Ministry of Education in the Ninth Conference on African School Nutrition , held in the country of Republic Burundi.
