This Department focuses on preparing students to be knowledgeable and equipped with essential skills and the right attitude in the optimal care of critically ill patients and families. The students are trained to become critical thinkers to prepare them to function not only as nurse practitioner or a specialist but also as a leader, manager and researcher.

The Critical Care Nursing Department is currently managed by two (2) highly qualified, competent and hardworking teaching staff and six(6) Teacher Assistants who are nurses and medical technologist that worked cohesively as a team.

Vision

Critical Care Nursing should be the specialty of choice of most of the students in the Faculty if Nursing University of Tripoli.

Mission

Critical Care Nursing Department wants  to train competent nurse graduate who can provide efficient nursing care to critically ill patients. 

Objectives

Critical care nursing is the field of nursing with focus on the critically ill or unstable patients. Critical care nurses can be found working in a wide variety of environments and specialties such as emergency department, trauma wards & intensive care units. Sub specialties of critical care nursing include such areas as neonatal intensive care and adult intensive care.
