Research Interests

The main research interest is biodiversity in the environment of the plant community, with a special interest in the role of vegetation in supporting biodiversity and the functioning of ecosystems, basic ecological characteristics of vegetation in the plant Community, and change in vegetation cover using remote sensing techniques and geographic information systems.

External Activities

2019 A representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Marine Resources in the regional dialogue on mainstreaming biodiversity in the agricultural sectors in the Near East and North Africa region, held in Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, from November 3-5,

2019 Member of the committee preparing the file for the Al-Shaafeen Reserve as a Man and Biosphere Reserve (MAB) (Resolution No. (33) of 2019 issued by the Libyan National Committee for Education, Culture and Science).

2017 Member of the research team to study the Flora and fauna of the Al-Wahat region (Jalo, Ojla, and Jkherra), Libya. Report to Libyan Petroleum Institute, National Oil Corporation.

2017 Member of the research team for a comprehensive Study of the impacts of operations activities and oil industries on the environments surrounding the Azzawiya refinery, Mellita plant, and Abo-Kammash plant. Libyan Petroleum Institute, National Oil Corporation.
