Description

The Chemistry Department offers an integrated study program to obtain a specialized degree (bachelor's degree). This program is designed to be a sequential, methodologically coherent and flexible program with the opportunity for students to choose a set of elective courses suited to their tendencies and objectives.

Objectives

- Preparing distinguished academic cadres through a high-quality educational and research environment to meet the needs of the labour market.

- To play an active role in addressing and solving scientific problems in the fields of chemistry and its applications by conducting academic and applied scientific research in all areas particularly serving the environment, industry and health.

- Providing scientific and practical services and consultations to sectors of society.

- Exchanging local and regional scientific expertise and competencies with relevant authorities to ensure the use of advanced technology and the development of human capabilities.

- Attention to postgraduate programmes and the development of the Department's research laboratories necessary for the implementation of these programmes in order to create highly qualified national cadres.

After the student has completed the course of the chemistry program, the graduate must be able to:

1. Proficiency of basic concepts in all branches of chemistry.

2. Familiarity with important interactions and motor mechanics that explain these interactions.

3. Awareness of the importance of all basic requirements to study all branches of chemistry.

Entry Reuirements

Bachelor's degree and admission to study at the Department of Chemistry/Faculty of Science/University of Tripoli is required in accordance with article 7 of Regulation (501):

1. The student must be in possession of the secondary certificate or equivalent of the certificates recognized by the government authorities.

2. To have the percentage of the college's admission.

3. Be a believer in society's values and orientations.

.4. If the applicant is a non-Libyan, he/she is required to be a resident of Libya for the duration of the study period and to perform the tuition expenses and fees prescribed in accordance with the regulations and regulations of the study.

Study Plan

The Bachelor in Chemistry prepares students to qualify for Bachelor in Chemistry. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.

It comprises 8 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 138 units, which include 8 units of general subjects, and 97 major units
