Dr Zaineb is an expert in identifying, studying and manufacturing materials with nanopores, knowing their physical properties and identifying available applications. With experience in using relevant instruments and technologies.

Research Interests

Dr Zaineb has developed expertise in the study of nanochemistry, colloids and surface chemistry, as well as the synthesis and characterization of nanoporous materials. The study of surfactant phase behavior including the determination of the critical micelle concentration (CMC), the micelle dynamics, measuring the diffusion mobility, the size and shape of the micelles, led her to use different chemistry techniques. She is a proficient user of colloid characterization techniques such as Tensiometer, fluorescence spectrometer, SANS, PGSE-NMR and EPR and she has notions of XPS and GC measurements . Moreover, Dr Zaineb has a great experience using other advanced techniques including X-ray Diffraction and electronic microscopy (SEM, TEM) which have been applied in her research area to characterize the synthesized nanoporous materials, and she is able to perform the tedious analysis of data obtained from these experiments.

External Activities

Over the past five years Doctor Zaineb has been a regular manuscript reviewer for a variety of scientific journals. in addition, she has published in many local and international journals.Dr Zaineb is a take-charge person who is able to present creative ideas and communicate the benefits in many of the committees she worked in.
