    Dr. Laila Abusen has been a faculty member in the Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli since 2000. She is currently working at the university as an assistant professor since 2020 and has many scientific publications in her field of specialization

    Dr. Laila Abusen works as a lecturer in the department with the rank of Assistant Professor. She has taught many general subjects in the College of Science and other colleges at the university, such as the College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture, Medicine and Medical Technology

    Dr. Laila Abusen also taught many specialized subjects in the department, such as teaching general chemistry 1 and 2, physical chemistry course 1 and its accompanying laboratory, natural chemistry course, industrial chemistry course and its accompanying laboratory

    Dr. Laila Abusan worked as a coordinator of general subjects in both the College of Science and the College of Agriculture in previous periods in the Department of Chemistry in the period 2014-2022. She is currently coordinator of the Department of Physical Chemistry since 2022, as well as an academic supervisor for students

    Dr. Laila Abusen graduated from a teaching assistant in the Department of Chemistry in the year 2000 to the degree of assistant lecturer in the year 2006 to the degree of lecturer in 2014 to the degree of assistant professor in the year 2020.

    Study of the effectiveness of plant extracts in the adsorption of heavy metals from aqueous solutions

    Synthesis of nanomaterials from plant extracts

    Kinetic and thermodynamic study of adsorption of heavy metal ions
