Roles
Faraj Hadiya Al-Busaify began his career as a geologist at the General Water Authority Water in the Eastern Region. He also worked with Total E & P Libya in Concession 42 Block 2 & 4, South of Dernah, NE Libya as a geologist in constructing a detailed structural surface mapping including cutting samples for shallow up-holes, with interpretation of measured structures within the concession and in a regional context.
After obtaining his master's degree, he joined the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Benghazi in 2012 as, an assistant lecturer.
As the academic year 2023, he took on a role as a lecturer in the Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli. Alongside this position, he was appointed as the coordinator for field studies within the department. His teaching responsibilities encompass courses in structural geology (for the Departments of Geology, Geophysics, and Petroleum Engineering), historical geology, and Geological Field Methods for geologists.

Research Interests
Understanding the evolution of different geological structures requires identifying the factors that contribute to their formation and the stresses that drive their development. This is accomplished through a variety of techniques and advanced specialized software. The research includes both surface rocks, examined through field studies, and subsurface rocks, analyzed using seismic waves and borehole data, allowing for the systematic organization of geological events.
External Activities
I took part in multiple specialized conferences in different countries, such as Italy and Egypt, where I presented research papers. Furthermore, I worked alongside faculty members from the Department of Geology at both Benghazi University and Misrata University on collaborative research projects.
