Roles

Bashir Wanis is one of the staff members at the department of mathematics in the University of Tripoli. He has been working at the university since 1995. Received the Master degree in Mathematics 1985 and Bachelor in mathematics and physics 1984 both degrees from Marshall University, W.VA USA. The PhD in 2005 from University of Exeter in applied mathematics (fluid mechanics). Now teaches several subjects in applied mathematics and has several publications in the field of his and other interests.

1.  Higher education coordinator in mathematic department (2021-2022).

2.  Editorial member of "The Libyan Journal of Sciences" (2021-            ).

3.  Head of Mathematics Department (2017-2019).

4.  Head of the Mathematics Studies and Examinations department (2011-2016).

Research Interests

My major interest and studies are in stability theory of fluid dynamics being inviscid or viscous.  The other research interest areas, that I am working on, are the theory of complex numbers and differential equations ( ODE & PDE )  with it's applications.    In addition supervising on students to complete their master degrees.
