Roles

AbdulLatif S.Tabbal is one of the faculty members in the Statistics Department at the faculty of Science. He supervises the teaching of various subjects and courses in the department and supervises many of the department’s students’ graduation projects. He also has scientific publications, the most recent of which is a book entitled Applied Nonparametric Statistics Using SPSS.

Careers

1-     BSc from Department of Statistics-Faculty of Science- Al-Fateh University in 1982.

2-     MSc from Department of Statistics-Faculty of Science- Al-Fateh University in 1991. Thesis title is Randomization Analysis of A Completely Randomized Design with A Defective Treatment.   

 3- PhD from UMIST, Manchester, UK, 1997. Thesis title is Methods for the Analysis    of Statistical Inference Procedures.

Current Status:

Assistant Professor in Department of Statistics-Faculty of Science-University of Tripoli – Libya.

Research Interests

Teaching curses i.e. (Introductory to Statistics, Mathematical Statistics 1 and 2, Sampling of Distributions, Analysis of Variance, Applied Regression Analysis, Nonparametric Statistics Applied to SPSS, Design of experiments, Quality control  and Estimation theory) and consultancy of many bachelor graduation students projects.

Computer Skills:

Good knowledge in Matlab programming language and other applied statistical packages i.e. SPSS, Minitab, and good user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point.
