Wesam is one of the faculty member in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli since 2007. He has taught many general and specialized courses in the field of statistics at the university and in other universities. He has also supervised many bachelor’s graduation projects .
Careers
Wesam is one of the faculty members who developed their teaching skills in the academic environment available at the Department of Statistics, University of Tripoli. After receiving his bachelor's degree from the Department of Statistics, he had the opportunity to impart his knowledge of statistics by participating in the department's undergraduate education program as a teaching assistant in 2002. During the period of tutoring undergraduate students, Wesam also enrolled in the postgraduate program in the department. He received his MSc. degree in Statistics in 2007 after accomplishing his research thesis entitled "Fitting Normal Mixture Model to Binned and Conditional Data Via The EM Algorithm", under the supervision of Prof. Youssef Emhamed. Wesam pursued his academic career, occupying the position of assistant lecturer in 2007, and then lecturer in 2011. He has dedicated himself to his assigned responsibilities and duties including delivering lectures, supervising and evaluating graduation projects, and participating in curriculum development.

External Activities
He presented his first research paper at the Second Arab Statistical Conference, which was held in Sirte, Libya, in 2009. He also participated in the Statistical Conference for Islamic Countries, which was held in Egypt in 2010, where he presented another research paper.
