Roles

 I have worked in the statistics department since 1986 and continue to work for about 36 years of scientific giving. I was promoted to the rank of professor in 2008 and I am dedicated to teaching and research tasks in the department. I contributed to the success of the master's program in the department with my colleagues by teaching and supervising many theses. I am currently working as the chair of the postgraduate studies committee in the department and an academic supervisor to support students. I have published many researches in my field of time series.•

Careers

1986 I worked in the statistics department as a teaching assistant, and in 1989 I obtained a master’s degree, and in 1990 I was appointed in the department with the degree of assistant lecturer, and I taught statistics in the faculties of the University of Tripoli, including science, engineering, agriculture, and the Faculty of Medicine. In 1991 I traveled to Britain to complete my postgraduate studies, and in 1996 I obtained a degree PhD from the prestigious University of Leeds in Britain in Statistics, specializing in time series, and I returned to Libya to serve my country and was appointed as a lecturer in the Statistics Department, University of Tripoli in 1996, and in 1999 I became an assistant professor and taught master’s students in the subject of time series and supervised many master’s students’ theses and I was also an examiner External for a number of master's theses at the University of Benghazi, and in 2003 I became an associate professor, and I was chosen by my colleagues to assume the duties of the head of the statistics department until 2007, and in the same year I assumed the duties of the coordinator of the statistics subject  for student of medical preparatory study . As for the year 2008, I became a professor, and since 2020 I have been assigned to chair the Graduate Studies Committee in the Statistics Department

Research Interests

 Outliers in Time Series , Garch model , Spectral  Analysis, Neural Networks ,Data Mining  and Hidden  Morkov  Chine
